Tolbert, 46, is a described as white, 5 feet 4 inches tall and 165 pounds. She dyes her naturally red hair blond, according to a flyer distributed to media by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office. Tolbert was allegedly reported missing by family members “very concerned” that she had not been in contact with them for awhile.

Authorities said Tolbert likely does not have a phone or a car, and she has been entered in the Georgia Crime Information Center database as a missing person.

The sheriff’s office posted the missing flyer on Facebook Tuesday, sparking some heated conversations in the comments that centered on Tolbert’s ex-husband, Jerimmie Tolbert.

Authorities said Jerimmie Tolbert was found dead by apparent suicide on March 7.

“(On March 7), deputies responded to an address on Tyus Carrollton Road in reference to a suicide,” Hulsey said via email to the Times-Georgian. “Jerimmie was located by law enforcement with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, which Jerimmie had succumbed to.”

Hulsey acknowledged the couple was known to have a volatile relationship, but the sheriff’s office has not been called out to intervene in the past couple of years.

“There have been previous reports of domestic violence between Samantha and Jerimmie,” she said. “However, the last report filed with our agency was in November of 2022, and Jerimmie was subsequently arrested.”
