2024 RB Ty Clark commits to Wake Forest

by Fulton Watch News Feed

Nashville Franklin Road Academy three-star running back Ty Clark has committed to Wake Forest.

He chose the Demon Deacons while also holding offers from Ole Miss, Duke and others.

Clark is the No. 106 running back and No. 40 player in Tennessee in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

He does not currently have an On3 NIL Valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

The addition of Clark makes 21 commitments for Dave Clawson and Co. The Demon Deacons’ class ranks No. 47 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Ranking.

Three of Wake’s four highest-ranked pledges are on the offensive side of the ball: Hiram (Ga.) three-star interior offensive lineman Clinton Richard, Fayetteville (N.C.) Cape Fear three-star wide receiver Jeremiah Melvin and Marietta (Ga.) Walton three-star quarterback Jeremy Hecklinski.

Richard is the No. 515 overall recruit and No. 42 IOL in the cycle. Melvin is a top-90 wideout, while Hecklinski checks in as the No. 41 signal-caller in 2024.

“He’s a dude. I think he’s a gamer. Not a perfect motion, but can make all the throws. Plays with urgency and quick decision-maker. Extends plays. Plays big-time football and performed well on the big stages against great teams last year. Can tell he’s in total command out there,” one anonymous Power Five staffer said of Hecklinski.

The linebacker room headlines the top defensive pledges for Wake with National Signing Day just one month away. Three LBs are committed to the Deacons: Atlanta Woodward…
