BLACKSBURG –Â Virginia Tech softball and Head Coach Pete D’Amour announced the Hokies’ 2024 schedule Monday afternoon. The Hokies are slated to play 52 games during the 2024 season with 20 at home at Tech Softball Park, including four ACC home weekends.

“We’re beyond excited for this challenging slate against many formidable opponents,” D’Amour said about the schedule. “We’re looking forward to playing in three amazing away venues to open the season to test our squad. Hopefully the energy and experience we gain early will prepare us for the daunting and vastly improved ACC schedule.”

Tech will open the season, February 9-11 at the Tiger Invite, hosted by Auburn University. They will play five games, including two matchups with the Tigers who were a NCAA Regional team a season ago.Â

The Hokies will then travel west the next weekend and play five games in the Littlewood Classic, hosted by Arizona State and the Grand Canyon University Classic from February 16-18.
Â
In the final tournament before conference play, the Hokies will participate in the Georgia Classic. They will compete in five games, including two contests against Georgia. The Hokies will have a rematch with the Bulldogs, who ended the Hokies’ 2023 season in the Athens Regional. During the tournament, Tech will also play NRV neighbors Radford, twice and Dartmouth. Â

Other non-conference matchups throughout the season include Elon University on February 21st, the Hokies’ first home game of the season, and trips to Eastern Kentucky (March 6) and UNC Charlotte (March 13). The Hokies have double headers with Longwood (March 19), Wofford (April 2), and Robert Morris (May 4).
