ATL rapper, T.I. has always given back to the city, and now he’s getting his flowers. The rapper. actor, and philanthropist, was recently awarded the Phoenix Award from Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens, which is the highest honor one can receive from the City of Atlanta, for his acts of philanthropy and entertainment contributions.

His philanthropic acts include opening up 140+ units of low-income housing in Bankhead with Intrada Westside, his 18th annual turkey drive through his non-profit Harris Community Works/Us or Else, his Harris Community Works annual holiday caravans at the Atlanta Mission, Project Pinnacle, and Next Level Boys Academy, and more!

T.I. said this in response to receiving this great honor from the city, “Humbly honored for us to have received dis highest honor by Mayor Andre Dickens and da City of Atlanta. Dis is for Trap Muzik, 20 years later! Happy to have shared dis illustrious moment wit my wife and da rest of my family, along wit da people in da city.”
