The City of Marietta seems to be doubling down on its commitment to being a geek-culture-friendly community.
First, the theme of this year’s Marietta the Gathering festival is “celebrating Geek Community, pop culture, and the arts.”
Now, the Strand Theatre will show the movie Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves as a tie-in event to Marietta the Gathering Festival.
Both are on Marietta Square on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
The announcement on the City of Marietta website describes the movie as follows:
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is about a charming thief and band of unlikely adventurers embarking on an epic quest to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves stars Chris Pine and Michelle Rodriguez.
