GA Lawmakers Pass New Congressional Maps Now Awaiting Kemp’s Signature

ATLANTA — After a federal judge ordered earlier this year that Georgia’s congressional maps be revised for better representation of Black voters, House Republicans passed new maps Thursday, according to media reports.


The AJC reported the maps, which could possibly violate the federal judge’s Oct. 26 order, are “designed to preserve Republicans’ 9-5 advantage in the state’s congressional delegation.”
