1. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is conducting an investigation after deputies exchanged gunfire with a barricaded man during a standoff at a home in Douglasville. The incident occurred after the man allegedly assaulted family members with a firearm. Deputies attempted to negotiate with the man, but he refused to comply with orders, leading to a confrontation where he fired at the response team, and they returned fire. The man was eventually taken into custody with non-life-threatening injuries, while no deputies were harmed in the incident. The GBI is continuing to investigate the matter. (11 Alive)
2. Authorities in Georgia are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 16-year-old girl, Christe-Una Allen. She was last seen at her home in Douglas County and is described as five feet tall, weighing 110 pounds, with brown eyes and black and blue box braids. She was wearing tan cargo pants and a black shirt at the time of her disappearance.
