The feud between Kemp and Trump fueled headlines post-2020 presidential election, during which Trump claimed the Georgia election results were rigged in Biden’s favor. Biden secured the Georgia votes, and ultimately began his first term as U.S. president.

Kemp has expressed he believes the “2020 election in Georgia was not stolen” and has said he will not launch a formal review into Willis’ actions.

“And there’s no path to a Republican win in the White House if we don’t win Georgia in 2024,” Kemp told the AJC.
