Metro Atlanta Cities Raked To Places To Live In America

Looking for the best place to the live in the ATL? Well, according to Niche.com, metro Atlanta has some really good options since 5 zip codes have made their list of “Best Zip Codes in America.” The website uses school and livability information resources to put out its “Best Places to Live” list, and this year, three metro zip codes are in their top-15.

● No. 4: 30005 (Alpharetta/Johns Creek)
● No. 9: 30309 (Midtown Atlanta, parts of Buckhead)
● No. 14: 30363 (much of Atlantic Station)
The Niche rankings give 30005 an A+ for both public schools and overall grade; 30309 gets an A+ overall grade and A- in public schools; and 30363 gets an A+ overall grade and A for public schools.

Other Georgia zip codes that made it a little lower in the rankings, but are still on the list were 30022 (north Fulton County) at No. 33, 30004 (Alpharetta and parts north) at No. 39 and 30097 (parts around Duluth and Johns Creek) at No. 45. 

Niche also took time to rank the public schools, cost of living, job opportunities and local amenities to come up with the best counties to live in America.

The list uses data from the U.S. Census, BLS, CDC, and other sources; and five north Georgia counties appeared in the top 50 counties on the list, while 2 others made the top ten, all receiving an A+ rating from the website.
● #7 Forsyth County
● #9 Oconee County
● #12 Cobb County
● #16 Fayette County
● #46 Fulton County

As for the top spot on the list, Howard County, Maryland, was named the #1 best place to live in America.
