`Thompson’s Pharmacy robbed at gunpoint | News

Thompson’s Pharmacy on Millard Farmer Industrial Boulevard and produced a handgun.

The suspect stole several controlled substances before getting into a silver passenger car occupied by two other males, according to a press release from the city of Newnan.

No one was harmed during the robbery, authorities said.

The car left the scene and went southbound on Millard Farmer before deputies with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office located the on Interstate 85 and pursued it until the vehicle was lost on 285 near East Point.

The vehicle was located again and pursuit resumed until the vehicle wrecked on I-285 and subjects began running on foot, authorities said.

City and county units are currently searching the area. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
