ATL Fire Vehicle Stolen While Crews Battle Flames

ATLANTA — A suspect is at large after police say someone stole an Atlanta Fire Rescue battalion truck while crews were responding Thursday night to a fire in the 800 block of Cameron Alexander Boulevard.

Crews were at the scene around 11:30 p.m., when someone notified them that their battalion truck had been stolen, Atlanta Police said.

A citywide lookout was issued for the truck, and it was later found abandoned in the 200 block of Andrew J. Hairston Place, police said.

A suspect has not been identified. The APD said the investigation is ongoing.
