Last weekend the Murphy girls enjoyed a night out in Atlanta, courtesy of my daughter Sommer. We were joined by my daughter-in-law and two teen grand-daughters for a celebration of recent birthdays, Thanksgiving, and life in general. Who knew that when we planned the outing last Summer, that we’d need a break from the Washington’s woes and wars around the world?
We saw an amazing revival of “The Wiz.” Per Sommer’s style that makes everything fabulous, she ordered monogrammed shoulder bags for everyone, which I adorned with hand-made charms from Etsy. I filled the bags with candy and a tee shirt printed with my favorite song title from the play, sung by Evilene, the bad witch: “Don’t nobody bring me no bad news.” We stayed in a three-bedroom suite in our usual hotel across from Fox Theater and picked up Southern fare from the historic Mary Mac Tea Room around the corner,
