Hong Kong continued to invest in its outreach to Atlanta’s technology ecosystem last month as top officials from the city’s New York office yet again courted companies during a February visit here.

Maisie Ho, director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, made the trip down Feb. 21-23, grouping a slate of meetings with a Hong Kong spring festival event that drew more than 200 celebrants to the Georgia Aquarium.

Ms. Ho provided updates on the fintech ecosystem in meetings with key players in the sector, while updating three local universities — Georgia Tech, Emory and Georgia State — on “talent admission schemes” designed to bring in entrepreneurs, students and executives.

While here, she also attended Georgia State University’s Lunar New Year Business Forum, which focused on artificial intelligence, electric vehicles and data management.

Learn more about the visit, coordinated with assistance from the Hong Kong Association of Atlanta, in this news release.
