ALPHARETTA, Ga. — A powerline worker reported Feb. 17 someone stole a $3,000 Vivax transmitter off a transformer at Kimball Bridge Road and North Point Parkway.

The lineman reported the transmitter was still attached to the transformer when he left work around 5 p.m. Feb. 16.

When he returned to the site around 8:30 a.m. the next morning, he said he noticed the transmitter was gone, the report states.

He said the equipment was worth more than $3,000.

Officers reported speaking with the construction team that is building the Kimball Bridge Road overpass on Ga. 400, but the foreman said no one had seen the transmitter.

No suspects have been identified.
