MILTON, Ga. — The final three days of advance voting in Milton will have expanded hours, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Â
During the advanced voting period, any registered Milton voter has been able to cast in-person ballots between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at City Hall except for a couple of days near the start which had a 7 a.m. opening. That schedule will remain the same Oct. 28 and Oct. 30-31; early voting hours are not offered Oct. 29.
But, from Nov. 1 to Nov. 3, advanced voting hours will stretch to 11 hours daily.Â
The idea is that starting two hours earlier and ending an hour later might work better with some people’s schedules, allowing them a chance to drop in before or after work. The city also expects a higher volume of voters generally on these days.
