Accl Speed Athletics Academy seeks grant support | Local News

by Fulton Watch News Feed

Building on its recent micro-grant success, IdeaMapper Microgrant 2023, which was awarded by the company IdeaMapper to Accl Speed Athletics Academy, the learning institution sets its sights on new opportunities. The academy is actively searching for grant writers and grants to amplify its innovative writing and critical thinking programs.

In regards to the grant support, Dior Lowry, the academy’s executive director, said, “The academy acknowledges the need for additional resources to expand its tools like ideamapper, a visual learning and writing tool. These new tools are part of the school’s commitment of fostering a creative and structured learning environment for more students.”

Also, a logistical challenge came up, Lowry said. This notable challenge is the need of transporting 4,000 lbs of fitness and wellness equipment to Roswell from Pennsylvania. This move, integral to students’ holistic development, emphasizes the need for financial support to overcome logistical hurdles without compromising the academy’s ethos. As Accl Speed Athletics Academy embarks on this journey — seeking grants to enrich academic programs while navigating logistical challenges — finding support becomes pivotal.

Accl Speed Athletics Academy is a private non-profit institution preparing students for higher education, the workforce, and citizen protection through Physical Education and Art. An emphasis on the Black Education Act and culture guide the format of their blended learning system.
