ROSWELL, Ga. — Roswell Police arrested a 31-year-old Lawrenceville man March 27 after the management at Roswell Creek Apartment Homes reported two people for trespassing.

When officers arrived, apartment management said they took photos of two squatters leaving a vacant apartment.

The first suspect was a female wearing a white hoodie and black sweatpants with yellow, red and blue shoes. The male suspect wore a grey hoodie, a white undershirt and black pants.

Officers said they used bolt cutters to enter the residence and located no one inside the apartment.

Inside, officers and management discovered around $6,000 in damages, including a hole in the drywall connecting to an unlocked electrical room and destroyed carpet.

Officers said they think the squatters entered the apartment through the hole.

About five hours later, Roswell Police arrested a 31-year-old man, originally from Athens, for forced burglary, criminal damage to property and obstruction.
