Barbara Aguilar
Barbara Aguilar, 59, of Roswell, passed away on Monday March 11, 2024, surrounded by her siblings and extended family. She was born October 2, 1964, in Roswell, New Mexico, the daughter of Joe B. and Lillie Aguilar.
Barbara attended Berrendo Elementary, Berrendo Middle School and graduated from Goddard High School.
Barbara was a lifelong resident of Roswell, who enjoyed, cooking, going to garage sales and being with her family. She had a green thumb for gardening and loved caring for her rose bushes. She was a creative soul that loved to crochet blankets for her friends and family. Barbara worked as a caretaker for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities and the Elderly. Which was a job she enjoyed most. She also worked for the Roswell Independent School District where she made many friends that she loved dearly.
She is proceeded in death by both of her parents Joe B. and Lillie Aguilar. Her paternal grandparents Cruz and Martina Aguilar and maternal grandparents Antonio and Frances Herrera. Niece April Ortega.
She is survived by her six siblings: Vernon Aguilar of Roswell, JoAnn Ortega and husband Joe Ortega of Albuquerque, Ervin Aguilar and Nancy of Roswell, Betty Grado of Roswell, Joseph Aguilar and Liz of Roswell, and Becky Aguilar of Roswell. Many nieces and nephews that love and will miss her very much. Barbara will be missed by all her friends and co-workers.
Heavenly Father, we come to you in humility, seeking solace at the loss of our dear sister. We believe in your divine purpose as revealed in the Bible, and we humbly ask for your loving embrace as we navigate this trying time. We know that you, God of Mercy and compassion have taken her into your loving arms.
There will be no funeral services.
