Deming Wildcats vs. Roswell Coyotes

Deming lost against Roswell back in May of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Deming Wildcats fell just short of the Roswell Coyotes by a score of 9-7. Deming has now taken an ‘L’ in back-to-back games.

For Roswell’s part, Emily Marquez was a standout: she scored two runs while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Lucero, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Deming’s defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Roswell, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Deming didn’t take long to hit the field again: they’ve already played their next matchup, a 10-0 win vs. Mescalero Apache on the 18th. As for Roswell, they will head out on the road to take on Lovington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Roswell is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
