Ida Bertha Ledbetter
Ida Bertha Ledbetter, 81, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024, in Roswell, New Mexico. Please take a moment to share a kind thought or memory with Ida’s family at www.andersonbethany.com.
There will be a Graveside Service at South Park Cemetery, on Saturday, March 2, at 10:00 AM.
On December 31, 1942, Ida was born to Bertha and Arlie Greenwood in Carlsbad, New Mexico. In high school, Ida was a 4-H member and a Jr. 4-H leader. Her love of animals was put to good use while working on her family farm and taking care of her many pets over the years. Ida enjoyed spending time with her family, hosting holiday parties for the neighborhood kids, cooking, cleaning, and sewing. Ida was a beloved member of the Church of the Nazarene. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
Those left to eternally treasure and cherish memories of Ida are her son, Arlie Ledbetter and wife Dora Ledbetter; grandchildren: J.C. Ledbetter and Evan Ledbetter; step-granddaughters: Bri and Brandie Branaman; step-great-grandchildren: John, AJ, Brecken, and Braylin; sister, Betty Wilbur; brother-in-law, Dan Ledbetter; and many nieces and nephews.
Ida is preceded in death by her parents: Bertha and Arlie Greenwood; husband, Bill Ledbetter.
Blessed to be chosen as honorary pallbearers are J.C. Ledbetter, Evan Ledbetter, Dan Ledbetter, Tony Ledbetter, Nick Ledbetter, Josh Farlow, Mikey Stapleton, Mike Crump, Jim Ostrander and Jim Butler.
The family of Ida wishes to extend sincere thanks to her sister Betty for bringing her so much happiness in her final years, and to her memory care staff at Mission Arch.
