One dead in officer-involved shooting south of Roswell | Local News

The shooting led to the closure of a section of the street in front of the Sun Center Plaza just north of West McGaffey Street. 

No additional information about the chain of events that led up to the shooting was provided, but a vehicle was in the middle of the road and cordoned off by crime scene tape. A second vehicle was also seen parked on the curbside near an apartment building.

When reached for comment, Todd Wildermuth, public information officer for the Roswell Police Department, told the Roswell Daily Record that the department would send out a press release as soon as more information becomes available.
