The Roswell High School (RHS) freshman girls’ basketball team defeated the Hobbs High School Gold team on Saturday at the RHS main gym.
Along the way, the Lady Coyotes, who finished the regular season at 11-3 and were the top seed in the Border Conference tournament, defeated the No. 8 seed Artesia High School (AHS) White team on Feb. 5 in the quarterfinals at the RHS gym. Roswell followed that with a victory over the fourth-seeded AHS Orange team in the semifinals on Thursday evening at the RHS gym. The Lady Coyotes finished their championship run with a victory over the third-seeded Hobbs Gold team on Saturday.
