Today, the Goddard Rockettes will perform their pom routine first, starting at 9:35 a.m., right after Sandia Prep. Next will be the Charlie’s Angels with their pom performance starting at 10 a.m., right after Rio Rancho High School. Later in the afternoon, the Charlie’s Angels will take the stage one more time for their jazz performance at 12:05 p.m., and the Rockettes will perform their own jazz routine an hour later at 1:20 p.m.

After the Charlie’s Angels sendoff on Tuesday, head coach Kim Castro thanked all the parents, community members, the kids and her assistant coach, Silvia Hernandez, for all their contributions to the team. If the Charlie’s Angels win, this will be their 16th state title, “Sweet 16.”

The Goddard Rockettes are coming back this year hunting to improve their placement from 2023. Last year, the Rockettes placed third overall in Dance for Class 4A. Rockettes Coach Logan Miller said besides the blue trophy, she just wants the team to perform the best that they can.

“We’ve been working for 11 months now,” Miller said. “We just want to go out there, put all our hard work, what we’ve been doing this year and just put it out there on the floor.”

On Saturday, the Roswell High School and Goddard High School cheer teams will perform, starting in Class 5A with Roswell High’s “Gameday” routine at 8:56 a.m., after Alamogordo. After an hour, Roswell’s cheer will perform their “Cheer with music” routine starting at 10:28 a.m.
