This year’s Career Fair at Roswell High School was even bigger, more fun | Local News

This is the school’s fourth Career Fair in recent years. The first one was held before the pandemic, with the next three happening every year since 2022, said Amber Marrujo, one of the school’s counselors.

Students had a limited amount of time, specifically an hour for juniors and seniors and a half-hour for freshmen and sophomores, to make their way around the school gym to stop at tables set up by vendors who piqued their interest.

Most of the tables were placed together to form a large square, while any remaining tables lined two of the walls in the gym. This formation provided a path for the students to walk past all of the tables and stop to see the representatives, ask them some questions, and perhaps fill out job applications or request further information about that institution or company. 

Starbucks, which made a first-time appearance at the event, was giving out product samples. The number of students waiting to get a free taste caused bottlenecking in the path set up for students to walk around the gym. 

An equally popular vendor was the Roswell Police Department, which was sitting very close to the Starbucks table. They were serving pickles, which are a decidedly on-trend snack. So many pickles were gobbled up that the police had to go out and buy more so there would be enough to hand out through to the end of the career fair.
