Woman arrested in Tuesday night stabbing | Local News

Todd Wildermuth, public information officer with the Roswell Police Department, said in an email Wednesday that the man sustained a minor injury. Romero, who is also wanted on a fugitive arrest warrant out of Lubbock, Texas, faces an aggravated battery against a household member charge.

The complaint states that Romero was also charged with possession of a controlled substance after officers found a small jar on her containing a brown substance that allegedly tested positive for methamphetamine.

Police were dispatched to the Stanton Avenue address in reference to a domestic dispute that included screaming and items getting thrown around inside the house.

After questioning the victim, police learned that he and Romero, with whom he had been in a relationship for seven months, got into an argument while in a bedroom. Romero then reportedly attacked the victim as he was packing her things.

“While he was looking away, she had stabbed him in the belly with a circular knife,” the criminal complaint stated.

Despite his wound, the victim continued packing Romero’s things, ordered her to leave and began pushing her out of the bedroom.

As they were both exiting the bedroom, Romero then grabbed an item described in the complaint as a metal tank and struck him in the head with it.
