NORCROSS — The man who died in a Jimmy Carter Boulevard shooting in late October has been identified while two people are facing charges in his death, Gwinnett County Police said Friday.

Police said Edward Thompson, 20, of Peachtree Corners, was killed in the Oct. 21 shooting. Officers first began investigating the shooting after Thompson was taken to Northside Hospital by friends.

The fatal shooting is suspected to be the result of an altercation between the three people, police said.

Police said Styles Gann, 19, of Conyers, was arrested on Oct. 24 and charged on suspicion of felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of certain felonies, reckless conduct and unauthorized discharge of a firearm within 50 yards of a public highway.

Kevin Pacheco, 20, of Atlanta, was arrested Thursday and faces the same charges, police said. He was taken to the Gwinnett County Jail, along with Gann, police said.
