There was plenty of good, bad and ugly for Douglas County as some leaders made headlines for the wrong reason.

From GBI investigations, indictments and ethics charges, Douglas County officials had their share of troubles.

This past year is one that will go down in history as being marked by two county commissioners and the tax commissioner being indicted on felony charges.

The Alexander High boy’s basketball team showed the county’s sports prowess by cruising to a championship in March.

This past football season, the Douglas County Tigers won its first region title in 21 years and reached the state semifinals.

Not to be outdone, the Lithia Springs flag football team reached the finals, a year after winning it all.
