Regional leader Doug Hooker is the new board chair of the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, assuming the role after serving one year as vice-chair. He will serve as chairman for a three-year term.

Hooker, retired executive director of the Atlanta Regional Commission, succeeds Susan Grant, who helped launch and guide the Foundation’s 2022-2026 strategic plan known as TogetherATL. Grant will remain on the board for one more year to ensure a smooth transition.
The Foundation also announced three new board members:
- Johanna Ellis-Reisinger of ActionECO
- Lovette Twyman Russell of Coxe Curry & Associates
- Margaret Stagmeier or TI Asset Management
Each of the three new board members will serve for three-year terms. They will join 20 returning board members. The bios of all the board members are available on the Foundation’s website.
“We welcome these three new perspectives to help guide the Foundation along the road to a more equitable Atlanta, a road with clearly-defined challenges and measures for impact,” said Frank Fernandez, president and CEO of Community Foundation.
