Joan C. Thornton, 89, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away on January 29, 2024 at Douglas Nursing and Rehab Center.
She was born in St. Anthony, Idaho on Monday, January 4, 1935. Joan loved her family, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and granddoggies. She was a founding member of Heritage Baptist Church and loved her Sunday School Class. She graduated St. Benedicts Nursing School in Ogden, Utah in 1956 where she received an RN Diploma Degree. Joan worked as an RN for forty-one years until her retirement with Douglas General Hospital.
