There is growing momentum that Kirk Cousins will be the next starting quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons. 92.9 The Game’s Carl Dukes said Wednesday that after speaking with multiple people in the know he believes there’s a chance Cousins could be in Atlanta sometime next week. That domino could set in motion a flurry of trades and quarterback movement in the NFL.
Cousins would come to Atlanta with a few questions. His health is number one after coming off an achilles injury last season. He has never been tested with an injury as devastating as that and that is compounded by the fact he will be 36-years-old by the time next season begins.
The upside for Cousins is strong. He is a perennial 4,000/30 touchdown passer who rarely makes the big mistakes that Desmond Ridder made last season.
