Man denied bond after impersonating police officers | Douglasville Sentinel

According to three warrants, Peterson attempting to defraud a total of $5,500 while impersonating a deputy in local sheriff’s office.

He told three different people from out-of-state that he was a local police officers in Cascade County Sheriff’s Office, and they had to pay for a failure to appear charge.

Peterson identified himself as “Sgt. Dave Anderson’ with the Cascade County Sheriff’s Office.

He threaten one man for $2,500 on the made-up charge, according to the arrest warrant.

The other two victims were threaten for $1,500 each.

Peterson allegedly made the calls from his home in October 2022.

He was denied bond during Friday’s first appearance bond hearing.

Peterson is coming off probation last May for a shoplifting charge in 2020. He was sentenced to three years probation on a guilty plea for shoplifting $723.93 worth of merchandise from the Walmart on Concourse Parkway.
