Why I chose South Florida: “When I first went there to the campus, they just made it feel like home. I’m a big family person, so all the coaches made it feel like it was the right place to be.”

Curtis Couillard

Sport: Baseball

School: Union College

Why I chose Union College: “I was looking for a high academic school in the northeast, and once Coach (John) Muller reached out to me, I did some research into the school. I knew it was perfect for me for the next four years.”

Morgan Franklin

Bishop Verot golfer Morgan Franklin signed her letter of intent to play at Samford on Nov. 8, 2023.

Sport: Golf

School: Samford

Why I chose Samford: “It was a pretty easy decision. I loved the school there. The Christian aspect of it, the school size – everything was just a great fit.”

Matthew Moreno

Bishop Verot baseball player Matthew Moreno signed his letter of intent to play at Barry University on Nov. 8, 2023.

Sport: Baseball

School: Barry University

Why I chose Barry: “The decision for Barry, one, was for the location. I was born in Miami – Hialeah, and so being able to go back to where I started was always a blessing. It’s really ironic. I also have a lot of family there, so it’s going to be a good place to be around – my support system, my family’s there is great, so it’s going to be good.”

Marissa Peck

Why I chose Spring Hill: “I chose Spring Hill because I will be able to continue my faith as well, and it’s a beautiful campus in a great area.”

Owen Rodriguez

Bishop Verot lacrosse player Owen Rodriguez signed his letter of intent to play at Wingate University on Nov. 8, 2023.

Sport: Lacrosse

School: Wingate

Why I chose Wingate: “I fell in love with the culture and the success they’ve had in their programs in the past, and then the coaches were a huge part too. I went there on my visit and immediately felt like something that was a family and just a culture of winning and a chance to win a championship, which was something I was really excited about.”
