The Chattanooga Football Club picked up its 14th win and clean sheet of the season in league play with Saturday night’s 2-0 victory against Flower City Union in Rochester, New York.
Markus Naglestad also scored his 14th goal of the season for the regular-season champions of the National Independent Soccer Association.
Chattanooga FC (14-1-7, 49 points) has clinched a playoff bye into the NISA semifinals and will host in that round at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5 at Finley Stadium.
CFC broke through in the 50th minute against Flower City. Naglestad dished off a pass inside the box to Mutaya Mwape, whose sizzling shot bounced off the keeper’s hands and right to Naglestad, who sent the rebound to the back left corner of the net.
