HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison baseball has rolled out its 56-game 2024 schedule that features games against five teams that made the NCAA Championship last season and 29 games at home, Head Coach Marlin Ikenberry announced Tuesday morning.

“I am very excited about this schedule, as well as getting this group back on the field,” Ikenberry said. “It is challenging and will prepare us for Sun Belt baseball.”

The Dukes begin their 2024 campaign with a four-game set from Feb. 16-19 at SEC powerhouse Arkansas, who was the third seed in last season’s NCAA Championship. They then return home for their home opener on Feb. 21, where they’ll host Virginia Tech for the first of nine home games in a 10-game stretch. Included in that stretch are weekend series against Fairfield (Feb. 23-25) and Cornell (March 1-3) and midweek matchups with George Mason (Feb. 28), VMI (March 5) and Richmond (March 6), before their final non-conference weekend series on March 8-10 at ETSU.

JMU will return the trip to the Keydets on April 17 and the Hokies on May 14, two of four home-and-homes on the schedule. The Dukes will also play Maryland (away March 19, home April 23) and Radford (home March 26, away April 2). Other midweek matchups for the Dukes feature a two-game series against Niagara (March 12-13) and a May 8 meeting with USC Upstate, with all three games played at Veterans Memorial Park.

Sun Belt Conference play begins on March 15, with the Dukes heading down to Conway, S.C. for a three-game set against Coastal Carolina. JMU will hit the road for an additional four conference series, traveling to Georgia State (March 28-30), Old Dominion (April 12-14), South Alabama (April 26-28) and ending the regular season at Troy (May 16-18).
