Elaine M. Stueber, age 103, of New Ulm passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at the Divine Providence Care Center in Sleepy Eye.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11 am on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Burial will follow in the New Ulm City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00 am on Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church prior to the Mass.
The Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes of New Ulm are assisting the family with arrangements at this time.

Elaine is survived by her daughter, Donna Asleson of Hanska; her grandchildren, Derek (D’Anne) Asleson of Horizon City, Texas, Danelle (Justin) Hesse of Phoenix, Arizona; her grandson-in-law, Curt (Chris) Pizel of Brandon; her great-grandchildren, Dustin (Kortni) Pizel of Madison Lake, Chelsey (Jason) Kub of Horace, North Dakota, Zachary Asleson of California, Logan Asleson of Georgia, Owen Hesse of Phoenix, AZ, AnnDee Hesse of Phoenix, AZ; one great-great granddaughter on the way; her sister-in-law, Veronica Helget of Sleepy Eye; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Gretchen Sturm; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Clara (Eckstein) Stueber; her husband, Edwin Stueber in 2013; her son-in-law, Darrell Asleson in 2014; her granddaughter, DeeAnn Pizel; her great-granddaughter, Brynlie Pizel; her sister and brothers-in-law, Jeanne (Raymond) Wech, infant sister, Beatrice Sturm; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Geroge (Delores) Sturm, John Sturm Jr., Paul Sturm, Leo (Mary) Sturm, Roger (Betty) Sturm; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mathilda (Leo) Sellner, Alma (Norbert) Lang, Clara (Raymond) Lang, Rose (Clarence) Gleisner, Alice (Leonard) Portner; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Herbert (Virginia) Stueber, Joseph (Marcella “Marcy”) Stueber, Charles Stueber, Norbert Stueber, and John (Marcella)…
