Q&A: CARTA’s soon-to-be new CEO talks public transit in Chattanooga

After a nationwide search, the CARTA board of directors appointed a new chief executive officer in Charles Frazier, the current senior vice president and chief operating officer for the Jacksonville Transportation Authority in Florida.

Frazier will start his new position at the Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority in January.

The Chattanooga Times Free Press spoke with him in a phone interview earlier this month about how he plans to approach public transit in the city and improve CARTA’s services.
