Ellen Eason Miller | Times Georgian

Ellen graduated from Roopville High School in 1957 and worked as the office manager at Lawler Hosiery Mill for 38 years. In 1994, following the loss of her husband, Mrs. Ellen joined the Hightower Family as a member of the Martin & Hightower staff. She felt genuinely blessed to be able to help families during their most difficult times. Mrs. Ellen saw a need for widows in our community and was instrumental in creating Circle of Friends, the area’s first support group for widows. From 1999 until 2013, Mrs. Ellen worked in administration at the City of Carrollton Parks and Recreation Department.

Mrs. Ellen was a longtime and faithful First Baptist Church of Bremen member. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and loyal friend. She loved her family dearly, and as long as her health permitted, she loved preparing meals for them, especially during the holidays. She always welcomed guests to join them. Mrs. Ellen will be truly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Harold Miller; brothers, Billy Eason, Roger Eason, and Bobby Eason; and sisters, Christine Cook, Eunice Bonner, Shirley Britt, and Janelle Garrett.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter and son-in-law, Kristi Navarre & Paul Rintye; grandchildren, Lauren Navarre, Brandon Navarre, Amanda Falls and Stephanie Urrea; four great-grandchildren, June Falls, Hank Falls, Diego Urrea and Sophia Urrea; and a number of nieces and nephews.
