Delta Community Credit Union is pleased to announce Megan Byrd as manager of its Peachtree City branch on Wisdom Road. A Peachtree City resident, Byrd grew up in the community and graduated from McIntosh High School. She continued her education to earn a business administration degree from the University of West Georgia before beginning her career in financial services.
“I am thrilled to be appointed the new branch manager in the community I have always called home,” Byrd said. “Seeing so many familiar faces each day has been a very welcoming experience.”
Byrd brings close to two decades of banking knowledge and understanding to her new role. She spent eight years working for JPMorgan Chase Bank before joining Delta Community in 2016. She previously served as manager of Delta Community’s Newnan-Coweta Crossroads branch before taking the lead role at the Peachtree City branch.
“Since starting as a teller after college, I have held various positions in the financial service industry, and each role has molded me into the leader that I am now,” Byrd said. “Having deep roots in Peachtree City, I am excited to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our members and neighbors.”
In her previous role, Byrd enjoyed working with the Boys and Girls Club and Coweta schools and business organizations. She looks forward to building similar partnerships in Fayette County through the Credit Union’s various community programs, especially those that provide opportunities for youth financial education.
