Six DCSS students place at writing competition | Douglasville Sentinel

Three DCSS students won their respective grade-levels in the prestigious competition and will now advance to the state-level competition. Those students are:

•  Miracle C. Chandler: First Grade, Dorsett Shoals Elementary School, The Princess and Her Long Hair

• Yahminisakti Chandrasekaran: Freshman, Alexander High School, The Journalist

•  Chrystal Alexander-Rudolph: Senior, New Manchester High School, A Letter to My Mother 

Three other DCSS students placed in the top three in the Metro RESA competition including:


•  Madeline Pryor: Third Grade, South Douglas Elementary School, The Naughty Disco Monster

•  Madison Murphy: Eighth Grade, Chapel Hill Middle School, Mixed

•  Caylie Brennan: Junior, Alexander High School, My Sun
