Local balloon artist Misty Clements owner/designer of Creations by Misty, LLC traveled to Atlanta, Ga on March 16th for a hands on balloon workshop training with Oscar Baker, CEO owner ofLou & Lee Events & Designs of Atlanta Ga. Misty participated in this class, alongside of 25 additional ladies who traveled from California, Illinois, Florida, Tennessee, and Georgia.
Attending a work shop in Atlanta is something Misty has wanted to do for a long time. The workshop course included hands –on techniques of learning the sizing/ calibrating of balloons, proper tying techniques, mini ropes technique, advanced process of assembling garland, proper technique of hanging balloon garlands, and more. Misty took pride in the fact that she was already familiar with some skills being taught, and did indeedlearn some exciting new techniques that she will be takingadvantage to improve the beauty of her creations when hangingballoon garlands for clients. Misty was highly engaged in this class and managed to empress the instructors with her raw talent and enthusiasm. She has already made plans to attend an upcoming work shop in Atlanta at the end of July.
Balloon Art & Decorating Services is something still relativelynew to a lot of people. Misty is very happy and excited to offer something so fun and beautiful to her home town of Chattooga county. She does not meet a stranger and gives God all the glory for her accomplishments, for without Him, family and clients who love and support her, this dream would not be a reality. She is proud to live by her motto of “One balloon and one prayer at a time.”
