Two Carrollton men accused of sexual assault | Times Georgian

According to the Carrollton Police Department, on March 19 deputies responded to Higgins General Hospital in reference to a sexual assault. Investigators followed up with the victim on March 20, where she stated Deese dragged her upstairs by her hair and assaulted her in his Mount Zion home.

According to the authorities, on March 22, a search warrant was executed at Deese’s residence, where he was arrested and booked into the Carroll County jail without bond.

Local authorities also arrested Richard John Koehler, of Carrollton, for reported child molestation.

According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a call on Feb. 18 from a mother stating she left her three daughters in the care of Koehler while out of town for work from November 2023 to February 2024. When she picked her children up, one of her daughters reportedly stated Koehler touched her inappropriately and exposed his genitals to the children. Forensic interviews were conducted with the three juveniles, with all disclosing similar instances.

Koehler denied the allegations, claiming one of the girls may have peeked around the corner while he was using the restroom, according to CCSO. He also stated the juvenile was “rambunctious,” displaying inappropriate behavior.

Koehler is currently in custody with a $2000 bond.
