Mr. Elmer James “Jim” Shari, 82, of Douglasville, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024. He was born on October 4, 1941, in Mount Clemens, Michigan to the late Mr. Sherman B. Shari and the late Velma Bertrand Shari.

Jim as he was known to everyone who knew him will be remembered as a hard-working individual. He and his wife, Carolyn, owned and operated Cornerstone Sewing and Vac in Douglasville for over 25 years. Jim also was a member of the U.S. Navy having served on a destroyer battleship. He spent his past time as an avid golfer and enjoyed RVing and traveling. He also loved to quilt in his retirement and he made each grandchild a quilt, which they will cherish. He was a comedian, not paid, but always joking and making people laugh (or at least trying to).
